Take part in a clinical research study investigating a potential new treatment for people living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD, sometimes called chronic bronchitis or emphysema). Study treatments and procedures will be provided free of charge over approximately 3 years.

Approx 3 years with 11 clinic visits (a mix of in clinic and virtual visits)
Compensation
Study treatments and procedures will be provided free of charge and participants will be reimbursed for reasonable expenses associated with study visits.
Eligibility Criteria
You may be eligible to take part if you:
- Are between 40-80 years old.
- Have been diagnosed with COPD, chronic bronchitis or emphysema.
- Are a current or former smoker.
AND
- Have established cardiovascular disease e.g you have a history of heart attacks, blocked
arteries, heart failure, heart bypass. - OR Are at risk for a first cardiovascular event e.g you suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol.
Please note: Participants who have used inhaled steroids within the last 12-months or have an active diagnosis of asthma will be ineligible.

Description
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a lung condition that makes it hard to breathe. It can also be called chronic bronchitis or emphysema.
Symptoms include shortness of breath, wheezing, chest tightness, and coughing. COPD gets worse over time and whilst there is no cure, treatments can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
Studies have shown that using a combination of inhaled medications may be more effective in reducing exacerbations, or flare-ups and improving lung function compared to using just one type of medicine.
What to expect
Here at Momentum, we are conducting a study that will explore the efficacy of an investigational combination of medications to prevent serious heart and lung issues in people with COPD.
Study treatments and procedures will be provided free of charge and participants will be reimbursed for reasonable expenses associated with study visits.
The study has an approximate duration of 3 years and involves 11 visits (both virtual and clinic visits).
