Locations
Knee osteoarthritis is a common and progressive joint condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It occurs when the protective cartilage in the knee joint wears down over time, leading to pain, joint stiffness, swelling, and reduced mobility. For many individuals, simple daily activities, such as walking, climbing stairs, or standing for long periods can become increasingly difficult and uncomfortable.
Beyond the physical symptoms, knee osteoarthritis can have a real impact on emotional well-being. It may limit individuals’ ability to enjoy their favourite hobbies, participate in social activities, or stay active with family and friends. Over time, the condition can take a toll on overall quality of life.
Current treatments for knee osteoarthritis focus mainly on relieving symptoms. These may include lifestyle changes, physical therapy, pain medications or injections. In more advanced cases, surgery may be recommended.
However, none of these options are proven to slow or stop the progression of the disease itself.
This study is testing whether a new investigational stem cell treatment, delivered by a single injection into the knee joint, can:
· Reduce knee pain
· Improve function in daily activities
· Slow cartilage damage
· Improve long-term outcomes for people with knee osteoarthritis
Participants will be randomly assigned to receive a single injection in the knee joint of either:
You will visit the clinic regularly for health assessments, including physical exams, imaging and general check-ups. Your safety and well-being will be closely monitored by a professional clinical team.
Why join this clinical research study?
· Gain access to a potential new stem cell treatment at no cost
· Contribute to research that may improve future care for osteoarthritis
· Receive health checks and medical advice from a professional team
· Help improve outcomes for others living with knee osteoarthritis
