Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM) is a common, long-term condition that affects how the body regulates and uses sugar (glucose) for energy. In people with Type 2 Diabetes, the body either doesn’t produce enough insulin or can’t use it effectively, causing blood sugar levels to rise. Over time, these higher sugar levels can damage blood vessels and organs, increasing the risk of serious health problems such as heart disease, stroke, nerve damage, vision changes and kidney disease.
Living with Type 2 Diabetes can be challenging. It often means managing blood sugar levels through a combination of healthy eating, regular physical activity, and daily medication. Despite this, many people still find it difficult to keep their blood sugar within the target range, even while taking several diabetes medicines.
This study is testing a potential new oral treatment that targets a protein called menin, which plays a key role in insulin production and glucose regulation. Researchers hope that the investigational treatment may:
- Improve blood sugar control
- Support healthy insulin and hormone responses
- Improve lipid metabolism and body weight measures
- Offer a potential new approach to managing Type 2 Diabetes
Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the investigational medication or a placebo. Both will be taken as capsules, twice daily for 28 days during the treatment period.
You will visit the clinic regularly for health assessments, including blood glucose monitoring and general checkups. Your safety and well-being will be closely monitored by a professional clinical team.
