Locations
Osteoarthritis is a common, chronic joint condition affecting millions worldwide, often developing as we age. It occurs when the protective cartilage cushioning the ends of bones wears down over time, leading to joint pain, stiffness, and swelling. Osteoarthritis frequently impacts the knees, hips, hands, and spine, making everyday movements challenging and painful. This condition can greatly impact the quality of life, limiting mobility and independence and sometimes leading to emotional distress. As osteoarthritis progresses, even simple tasks like walking, lifting, or climbing stairs can become difficult, affecting personal, social, and work activities.
Current treatments for osteoarthritis focus on managing symptoms and improving joint function. Pain relievers, anti-inflammatory medications, physical therapy, and lifestyle changes are commonly recommended, while joint injections and surgery may be considered for more severe cases.
Momentum Clinical Research conducts clinical trials that explore new treatments and innovative approaches to joint care. These clinical research studies aim to not only relieve pain but also slow the disease’s progression, offering hope for more effective, long-lasting treatments.
