Study Investigator and Managing Director
Dr Neville has been working in clinical studies for over 20 years as a study investigator and an owner of research companies. Munro specialises in the design and execution of interventional clinical trials, observational research studies and real-world evidence collection. He has been involved in the design and conduct of over 50 multicentre studies.
His interests include the conduct of clinical studies in the primary care setting and he has spearheaded the development of clinical research at two national networks of primary care centres. These initiatives resulted in over 400 GPs from more than 90 medical centres being trained as investigators and then participating in a number of interventional clinical research studies. In 2018, he purchased AusTrials from Primary Health Care and has since expanded it with many new investigators and multiple locations.
Munro has developed patient identification and stratification algorithms for the accurate recruitment to and the efficient conduct of research programs and studies. Munro was involved in the design of stepped care programs for patients who have complex needs or multi-morbidity, as well as those with less complicated levels of chronic conditions.
Munro gained his medical degree from St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, a public health MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (joint degree with the London School of Economics) and an MBA from the London Business School.
He is a father of two adult children and likes to stay active with yoga, cycling and swimming.
